SIR KNIGHT TERRY L. PLEMONS, PGC – (TN)
R.E. Grand Prelate

Sir Knight Plemons was born on December 13, 1963, in Rome, GA, the son of Lewis and Glenda (Tierce) Plemons. He has been employed by McKee Foods Corporation (Little Debbie Snack Cakes) for over 34 years, working in the Distributor Relations Department. He married Karen Lynn Wade on April 4, 1987, and they have two wonderful children: Mary Elizabeth (Chris Little) and Samuel Plemons.

He is a member of the Baptist Faith, an Ordained Minister of the Gospel, a Deacon, and a Sunday School Teacher. He serves his local church on various Committees and as a Trustee.

He was raised in Harrison Lodge No. 114 F & AM on June 1, 1993. In 1996, he affiliated with Chattanooga Lodge No. 199 F & AM, serving as Worshipful Master in 1998 and then as Secretary for 22 consecutive years. In the Grand Lodge, he served as R.W. Grand Chaplain in 1999. He served the Grand Lodge on the Appeals and Grievances Committee and the Board of Custodians of the Work and Lectures.

Companion Plemons was exalted in John Bailey Nicklin Chapter No. 49. He served as High Priest in 1998 and Secretary from 1999 to 2012. He received the Order of High Priesthood in 1998 and was President of the Tennessee Council of Anointed High Priest in 2006. In the Grand Chapter he served as Grand Chaplain in 1997 and again in 2014, and is a holder of the General Grand Chapter Distinguished Service Medal. Companion Plemons was greeted in Mount Moriah Council 95 C.M. on, served as Illustrious Master in 1998 and as Recorder from 1999 to 2012. He served the Grand Council as Grand Chaplain in 2021.

Sir Knight Plemons was Knighted in Lookout Commandery No. 14 on November 12, 1994, served as Commander in 1998, and Recorder from 1999 to 2012. He served the Grand Commandery of Tennessee as Right Eminent Grand Commander in 2003 and as Prelate in 2018 and 2021. In the Grand Encampment, he served as Aide de Camp to Right Eminent Sid C Dorris III during the 43rd and 44th Triennials. He served as Right Eminent Department Commander for the Southeastern Department during the 45th Triennial. He was elected a Trustee of the KTEF during the 45th Triennial and as the Chairman for the Voluntary Campaign during the 45th, 46th and 47th Triennials.

Brother Plemons is a member of the Valley of Chattanooga Scottish Rite Bodies, is a Past Commander of Kadosh, and is currently serving as the Assistant Personal Representative for the SGIG. He was invested with the Rank of KCCH in 1997 and received the 33 Degree in 2003, and is very active in Valley Ritual Work.

He is a Past Prior of Tennessee Priory No. 15 K.Y.C.H. A Past Preceptor of Holy Manger Tabernacle HRAKTP. He is currently serving the Grand College HRAKTP as Deputy Grand Preceptor. He is a member of Cherokee York Rite College No. 152, serving as Governor in 2000, receiving the Purple Cross in 2002, and the Distinguished Service Award in 1999. He was elected Secretary in 2001, an office he continues to serve. He is a member of Gaelic Council No. 50 Knight Masons, where he is a Past Excellent Chief, a holder of the Knight Companion of Zerubbabel Award, and is currently serving as the Scribe of the Council and Super – Intendant for East Tennessee. In the AMD, he is a Past Sovereign of the Tennessee Council and is a Charter Member and Secretary of George Cooper Connor Council No. 341. He is a Charter member of Tennessee Court No. 122, Masonic Order of Athelstan, where he is a Past Master and serves as Secretary. He is a Charter Member of Alfred the Great Order of Pilgrim Preceptors. He is also a member of Hixson O.E.S, the Alhambra Shrine, where he is a member of the oldest continuous Shrine Pipe Band in North America, the Alhambra Pipes and Drums. He currently is serving as the Secretary for Tennessee College SRICF.

SK Terry was appointed Grand Prelate at the 69th Triennial Conclave in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on August 17, 2021.
